Little Girls Should Not Look Like Grown Ups

I think these beauty pageants are horrific. It’s the mothers living through their little girls and I think they have awful values.  Little girl’s having to get fake teeth called flippers, if their front teeth are missing, is just crazy.  Little kids with missing front teeth are cute.  I don’t understand why they have to shave their legs, get spray tans, get their hair dyed and curled.  It’s all so crazy.  They are making cute normal kids look like creepy wax dolls.  The worst part is that they try to make 5 year olds look like 20 year olds and this is just fodder for pedophiles. It’s revolting.  Don’t the mother’s realize that or are they that blinded as they live through their kids?

I find Carmen’s mother atrocious.  The saddest bit and also the most revealing is when little Carmen saying she’s smiling on the inside.

There’s something really sad when little girl at the contest approaches an older one asking to be her buddy and  gets rejected.  She looks so crushed and devastated, it breaks your heart.  This contest just seems to promote superficial fake beauty over  shallowness.  The mothers seem to be creating future mean girls obsessed with vanity.

no one should force a child to be something they didn’t like, not even their mother.but maybe the mother want their daughter to be miss universe someday. 🙂

Yeah that sure looks like it. They are totally living through their kid, especially when you see that one mum doing all the dance movements as her kid is on stage. Hilarious but also kinda awful.

I find child pageants completely revolting. There is already enough in this world out to rob little girls – and boys – of their childhood. There is time enough for them to model and flaunt themselves when they are grown, please just let them enjoy being little kids! They don’t need all this superficial pressure to look good from such a young age.

Have you seen Little Miss Sunshine? Abigail Breslin was the cutest beauty pageant contestant, and that was because she was being what she was – a little girl.

lil miss sunshine was so sweet and full of kindness…….loved that movie! that’s the way all the lil girls should be dressed.

I still don’t get the tanning and fake sexualized looks required for such pageants! why?? the judges who vote based on criteria like that must be perverted!
