I love roses, but who doesn’t. It’s challenging to grow roses in Singapore in the tropical heat. The type that grow are tiny and lovely. They often wither, but even if they only last for a day or two, it’s worth the effort. Seeing a rose bud appear and bloom, in spite of the blazing sun, is a good reason to cheer. Usually you need to keep them in a container and shaded from the direct sun. They need a lot of water and top soil as well.
I have to confess we once got a pot of pink roses and the plant died within a week. Roses are so beautiful, it’s worth trying again and again. The kind of rose that survives in Singapore are China Roses that are supposed to be evergreen.
I have red rose and grow at the balcony. ( small pot on the sheild ) It bloom roses and best things I cut it and put in the flower vase ( Crystal ) the water leave for a week or more it did not turn bad and still fresh . I think crystal vase play the part because if I put in normal glass vase the water turn bad. The cutting rose stern I put in the crystal vase , it grow root after two week.. I like share this news.
