Octa Hotel at Parco Millenia Walk: Like Stepping from Singapore into Tokyo

This was the second time I passed by this lovely French style Japanese high tea place. I found it so pretty and really wanted to have a tea set here. Sadly the lovely Japanese ladies inside told me in halting, polite English while bowing ” Today there’s party, no seats. Please maybe you come again next time. Thank you”. They looked like absolute dolls and one of them could only speak Japanese so she just nodded and smiled sweetly, which just added to feel that I had stepped over the threshold into real Japan. Adding to the exotic, I must have stepped into a time and space warp into Japan were the guests of the party. There were a number of young girls in their twenties, all dressed in elaborate frilly costumes that you would probably see on the streets of Tokyo. It was so cool and made me even sadder that we couldn’t have tea there.

To compensate I took tons of pictures to show you how pretty the place is from the outside. Peering in, the decor was so lovely as well.

Octa Hotel, which is a Parisian inspired cafe and not a hotel as its name might suggest, is at Parco in Millenia Walk. It’s first foray out of Japan and I am glad they chose Singapore.

This looks so cute! I didn’t know that they originate from Japan. I thought the French Japanese theme was just a marketing gimmic.
