I knew I was in India when I saw this cute sign of a lady in a sari, on the door of the Ladies’ powder room. It would have been even cuter with a bun atop her head. I spotted this at the Taj Residency which is a equivalent to 4 star hotel by Singapore standards and is located at Marine Drive. The hotel staff here provide you with the warmest service and leaves me considering the Taj again for future India hotel stays.

Incidentally it was the historical 107 year old Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai that terrorists attacked and in which a young Singapore hostage was murdered. Due to the terrorist attacks we experienced tight security. We went through metal detectors each time we entered the hotel and our bags were separately checked as well, which gave us peace of mind. The same was done at a mall we entered.
