Shangri-la is always my instant choice when I’m asked where I like to go for high tea. If you’re celebrating a family member’s birthday celebration on a weekday, you can be there from Noon till 6pm and have a really leisurely relaxing time. There are countless numbers of teas as well as cappuccinos and lattes to indulge in. I always start with orange pekoe tea and end with a cappuccino Viennese. True to its name the place is filled with bouquets of fresh imported long-stemmed roses. Sometimes red, sometimes pink. It may be once a year, but it’s always spent most happily here. I am glad the buffet includes sushi and finger sandwiches which are the items I reach for first.
These are the most recent photos taken within the last year or so. As you can see I couldn’t get enough of the roses. Even the plates had rose motifs.
