Sushi Hei at Sembawang shopping centre is the only sushi place I know of that is halal certified. Ichiban Boshi is still my favourite chain restaurant for sushi, but the variety here is nice. It’s also nice that it was pretty empty and not too crowded.

Sushi Hei claims to be the first Halal certified sushi belt chain. They have 3 branches at the moment but I am sure this will expand as there are not many choices for Halal food besides the food court, Indonesian restaurants and fast food. Sakae Sushi is behind the chain – no wonder the design of the place (it’s green too) is similar.
