Heart Wrenching Singapore News

Update: Singapore has been getting a spate of bad news lately. When a child loses a parent, no matter how old they are, it is a tragedy. When a person loses their spouse and life partner, my heart feels for them. This time tragedy struck with the passing of Minister Balaji Sivadasan and Mrs Lee Kuan Yew.

What I wrote earlier in the day: I feel shaken to the core by recent headlines in Singapore – a young promising life just cruelly taken away. All I can think was – she was just a child. I can’t imagine what her parents must be going through.

A young girl was killed tragically on her 20th birthday. It was a hit and run. I just hope that the 50 year old bus driver did not realize he was dragging her body, because if he did I can’t imagine cruelty of such a nature. I just pray that she did not suffer any pain and was unconscious at the time. It’s deeply sorrowful to think of her family who had to fly to London to identify her body. Stories like this makes me lose my faith.
