Mango Shopping

In Singapore you can find Mangos in abundance. Thought I’d post about Singapore again as I seem to have abandoned her for a bit while writing about my Osaka trip.

At NTUC I saw cheap but kinda sweet mangoes from Malaysia. Just about a dollar each. I still miss the ones we used to get from the Philippines in the 70’s and 80’s – those were top notch and none of the mangoes I buy these days from the supermarkets can compare. I wonder why we don’t import mangoes from the Philippines anymore. I would pay triple for those.

These Aussie mangoes are such an allure in terms of look. Although they smell really nice, but when it comes to the taste, the Asian species definitely beat the Aussie’s hands down.
