Serangoon Central’s Nex Mall (Barcelos)

Barcelos flame grilled chicken sounds like a good option. I have never tried the food at this chain (correction, B said we tried this at VivoCity once), but I’m guessing it’s healthier than fried chicken. This is located at basement 2 just next to Freshness Burger and I’m guessing it’ll be open in a few days. This is the menu from the original South African Barcelos website. They claim their secret is in marinating the chicken for a whole day before it is flame grilled.

  1. I am really amazed at the mall, but what interests me is that this could be a mall in a major US city. All the signs are in English!

English is actually our first language in schools, but we are made to take a second language as well. Either, Mandarin, Malay or Tamil. If I had a choice in school I would have loved to learn French and Japanese as well 🙂 I just love the sounds of those two languages.

  2. I had to go to Wikapedia to read up about Singapore…I am going to make it one of my top five places I must see! It looks beautiful! I never realized what kind of place it was
Thanks for opening my eyes to Singapore!

I am so glad to have brought a slice of it to you. I realized I was always yearning to go someplace else. To me the US and Europe are the ultimate destinations. I love cold weather so much and I hardly get it here. I also started the blog to appreciate more of what I have and just to make myself happier by conscious effort 🙂
