More Dining Places at Nex

Cafe Cartel which used to be located at Serangoon Gardens and I’ve also tried the outlets at Plaza Singapura and Junction 8. Not a big fan but used to be when they just opened a couple of years ago. I feel that the standard has declined or maybe my tastes have just changed now that there are more authentic options out there.

Starbucks for my caffeine fix.

Yum. Texas Chicken. Well especially their maple syrup biscuits. Only the overcrowding and perpetual queues put me off. The outlet at Changi expo which I reviewed some time ago, was so empty in contrast.

Some of the food outlets like Ship Restaurant (I haven’t heard of it, but people tell me it’s a super old, revived restaurant chain from the 80’s). Each time I go by the restaurant the human jam is so crazy it’s impossible to take a photo without several heads blocking the restaurant. Also you kinda get stared at for taking photos. That’s the hazard of food blogging.

My sister loves this restaurant which has authentic local delights of which my favourite is the chicken curry. It’s a pity they only serve it with rice and don’t offer it with bread. Bread dunked in chicken curry is divine.

Anderssen’s ice cream is good. Haven’t had this in a really long time.

Cafe Cartel sucks these days. It was one my my favourite hang out when it first open. Now I won’t even bother to get in for a drink. You said it, the quality of food just plummet.
