The Skypark (Marina Bay Sands Hotel) – Part 1 of 4

Again, because I took so many photos I need to spilt this post into 4 parts. Part 1 will cover how to get to the Skypark, Part 2 the amazing views of Singapore from the top, Part 3 will cover views from the views of the Marina Barrage and Part 4, the scary looking Infinity pool where it looks like you could swim off the edge of the building and fall down. If you get a chance you should definitely come here.

The Skypark is on the 56th floor and you need to take a express lift here. Before that you need to purchase a ticket. I would recommend applying for the Marina Bay Sands card as you then get a 30% discount for a one time visit (weekday) to the skypark. An adult ticket which would normally cost S$20 goes for S$14. Senior citizens who are 55 and above get a special rate of S$17 and only need to pay S$11.90 when they sign up for the premier card (signing up is free and you can do it at a booth at the hotel or online too I think).

To reach the skypark, you actually have to exit the hotel and take the escalator down.

They thought of everything. When you get tired there are comfy couches to sit on.

Even though it was a cloudy day, the glare and heat was quite extreme. I would advise not coming here when it’s too hot. Perhaps the evening time would be best with all the city lights out, which is what my companion originally suggested, but we got tired of hanging around and were too impatient to wait till then. If it’s just drizzling you’ll be allowed up, but not if it’s raining due to safety reasons.
