The Skypark (Marina Bay Sands Hotel) – Part 3 of 4

A view of the Marina Barrage area that’s reservoir as well as a leisure park where people can go to fly kites. I will feature that place in another post.

Down at the Marina Barrage (Singapore’s 15th reservoir – makes sense as we need water and get tons of rain), this structure looked like a sunken ship – very cool. From this angle it doesn’t quite have that effect.

As you can see from the muddy areas – there’s still construction going on. Interesting to see in the future how this portion will be transformed.

You can see what a cloudy day it was – and it rained later, so it was lucky that we didn’t wait till 5pm.

Of course there’s a souvenir shop up there with cool T shirts. As a local it would be weird to wear one of these, but if you’re a tourist it’s perfectly fine. I wonder why that is?

There’s a lounge area with pretty red umbrellas where you can have a drink and watch the sunset.

From here on I took photos from a higher point at the 57th floor. It feels like the view from a small aircraft.

Our skyscrapers are pretty awesome.

At this point I felt a bit of vertigo.

Next time, we could have had a set lunch at Ku De Ta and come up here for free.

The tiny ships are spectacular.

Some parts of the 57th floor are blocked out just for hotel guests to enjoy. If you’re a hotel guest, I will be looking forward to your photos on the special views you get.

YES! It was soooo beautiful! I just took my brother to see it and we were both very impressed! It’s a great little tiny island we have here, no?
