I don’t have a fear of heights, but the escalator ride (goes up 3 levels at least) and the ship design at Stadium MRT (circle line or yellow line as I like to call it) is both impressive and vertigo inducing. It’s now made Kallang Leisure Park a cinch to get to, unless it’s pouring down. Then you’ll most likely get wet on the long footpath. Winds in Singapore, as you will discover, beat the rain sideways. I didn’t mind being sprayed by a little water, but I was annoyed by some teenaged boys in front of me whining loudly about it.
The actual covered walkway is narrow and long, but at least you get a bit of shelter. I think we’re spoilt with MRT attached underground to malls that we come to expect it. You can take a shortcut when it’s not raining and muddy.
I was absorbed by the old trees with the low hanging branches.
