Little India: Street Signs

There is so much life in little India that I just can’t get enough of it.

It’s a bit hard to navigate the narrow roads. Especially f you’re not familiar with the streets.   You’ll encounter many no entry and one way signs. I think it adds to the character of the place – yes, even the honking by impatient truck drivers who are there to deliver their goods, and make it hard for you to park or wait for a parking spot. Here it’s either you get lucky and spot a space or you’ll just have to move along. There’s no waiting.

The names of the streets also give this place a unique flavour. Perak is actually a state in Malaysia located in the north, very near Thailand.

Dunlop is a famous UK based rubber brand which has divisions in rubber plantation rich Malaya.  We used to have Dunlop latex foam mattresses as little kids.  They were super soft and comfy, but got lumpy after many years of use.  There were no spring mattresses then.
