The rojak here is famous and I think it’s the best.
Aunty Oats peanut pancake is wonderful especially when it’s freshly made, hot and toasty. Another stall with Aunty in it’s name. I definitely see a trend here. Aunty equates to caring and wholesome.
I found the owner very polite and friendly, which is a big plus.
I can’t resist the goreng pisang (fried banana) although the owners can seem quite sullen and unenthusiatic.
The hawker centre was super crowded as it’s one of the most famous and popular in Singapore. Next would be the Maxwell Road hawker centre and then Chomp Chomp I guess.
Wow, peanut pancake 🙂
That’s what we miss in today’s SIngapore. I recall the old Marine Parade hawker center, same layout, lookalikes really. No East Coast Express way traffic zooming behind us, just the the waves the sea. Thanks for bringing the memory back to us. Must check out next time I visit.
Hard to find such center in today’s Singapore. Hope it will stay as is for a long time to come.

Thanks for dropping by. At the moment the only hawker centre near the sea is the one at East Coast called East Coast Lagoon Food Centre. Hope to take some pictures there one day.
Used to live so near the Old Airport Road market… I love the Toa Payoh Rojak and if I have any cravings, I would head on early so that I can be first in the queue! 😉 Hehe
glad I have company in the Toa Payoh Rojak fan club 😉
