Singapore’s Vertigo Inducing Escalators

I am purely distracting myself right now. Posting some photos I took at ION and Wheelock Place and going to write some words that seem a bit frivolous to me after what I went through this morning. I find writing to be the best therapy. So I just keep on writing. Here goes:

Increasingly Singapore is becoming a scary place for people with vertigo. Luckily that’s one thing I don’t suffer from. Our swanky orchard road escalators are getting taller and taller. I wonder how high they will go. The most intimidating one I think is outside Orchard Central where you can see yourself climbing up to the third level, where you are soon higher than the trees beside it. I notice that I am usually the only one on it. I think many people avoid it and I don’t think it’s safe for little kids.

The curvy one at Wheelock is pretty unique.

Those escalators are vertigo-inducing alright. The second picture with the longest escalator would make my legs go jelly and prompt me to take the stairs instead
