Driving towards Orchard Road back in April when there was no Haze

The area around Orchard Road true to it’s name is quite an orchard. I would love to see town (our term since teenhood, for the shopping district) become more of a green oasis just like New York’s Central Park. I guess for now, we have the lovely Botanic Gardens to be thankful for.

Love the outline of the branches against the green of the leaves.

As I see this picture of the cloudy sky I am thankful as the rain comes down heavily outside my window. Rain is especially welcome to wash away the smoky air.

I am especially proud of this post I did of all our beautiful green. Especially when I’m weary, nature does lift me up. Looking at green is a form of meditation for me, even if it’s just photos I took. They transport me to a more relaxed place, especially when my nerves are frazzled.

You are right, the outline of the trees looks amazing against the green of the leaves.

I’m always longing for a change of scene and I love looking at pictures of trees in a colder climate. To be honest I find them prettier. But blogging makes me appreciate the tropical jungle I’ve always lived in. Makes it fresh again somehow. I guess we always crave for something new.

I really like it when you share pictures of green Singapore 🙂 Hong Kong is all concrete… and it’s depressing that the plants are often plastic….

it’s one of the things our government did right and I’m quite appreciative even though I criticize their policies at times.

Many times, we criticise because we care too much 🙂 We hope to see improvements. I always take it as a sign of patriotism 🙂

I find it prettier than NYC.

I think the Botanic Garden is prettier than Central Park (and certainly safer after dark!) although it would be really awesome to have something like the theater where they do Shakespeare in the Park and other events.

The thing that stinks about NYC is that once you get away from CP, there’s so little greenery. It’s all buildings, buildings, buildings…grey grey grey. Don’t get me wrong…I love NYC-I used to live there and I’d love to again, but in a head to head contest, it is no contest…Singapore is the greener, prettier city by far.

I guess this is a grass is greener thing….I think NYC is prettier….I prefer the type of trees found in the US. Maybe I’m just tired of tropical…a bit of an overdose for me. To me the trees & parks outside of Asia and the equatorials regions, are beautifully exotic 🙂
