This times we parked at the side nearer the main entrance. It was a pity that there was construction and cleaning going on when we were there and a lot of the path was blocked. We then made a promise to come back another day to explore. The most impressive sight was this. I felt like I was in England and not Singapore. So beautiful and the wet ground added to the cool atmosphere.
Will go back to the beginning now and post the pictures I took as we walked from the car park. The first thing I noticed was the very cool imprint of leaves on the ground.
Lovely water lily pads at the entrance where there is information and a seating area for visitors.
Singa, our retro courtesy lion is there to welcome you.
One of the many sign boards at the Botanic Gardens, so you’ll never lose your way.
The reading lady. The gardens are definitely made more interesting with all the art.
Orchids being cultivated in the lab.
Oh if only we had so much space all over the island. I feel calmer just looking at all the green.
Very impressed by the massive buttress roots.
Many places to rest your weary feet, sit and contemplate.
Did you dine at Au Jardin by Les Amis? That place is brilliant, and their wine list reads like a dictionary! 🙂
I haven’t but is it super expensive? maybe one day?
The last time I went, they only served lunches on Fridays. 3-course for about $45, which weighing it against ambience, service and quality of food, is a good deal, personally 🙂 Their buffet brunch is also very tempting 😀
The 3 course lunch sounds good. I thought a meal there would be more than S$100 so that’s good to hear.
