Being a tourist in my own country, at Marina Bay Sands

Love taking random shots of things that interest me. It’s the only way to sustain my interest when I’m inside a mall. Although to be fair I think Marina Bay Sands has one of the nicest. The best part being the generous walkways.

The awesome architecture. Just loving the feeling of space. If only all malls could be as spacious, but I guess you need big pockets to get a big piece of prime land.

Cafe B – haven’t tried this.

Why would anyone want heavy luggage? Heavier than a baby elephant?

There was a run going on. I pity the office workers who were forced to join this. Some of them ‘took cover’ in the air-conditioning of the mall. Many of the ladies were decked out in heavy make-up and I am quite sure they hate the idea of sweating.

We found Marina Bay Sands a little too much posh consumerism concentrated on one spot, so we skipped it. I wonder if we would be allowed to have entered the mall, with out casual touristy clothes 😀

We heard about the awesome pool on the roof, and we really wanted to swim there, but it’s not open for normal guests. Too bad. We decided to look at it from the Singapore Flyer instead 😉

It looks intimidating on the outside but I find it’s like any other mall….not dress code needed and those who dress up to go to the casino actually look out of place when they eat at the food court cos they are the only ones dressed to the nines. It’s interesting to check out their dresses and super high heels though.
