What is Happening to our MRT System?

I just want to hear no more bad news about MRT system. I can imagine how rattled the passengers and train drivers must have been when they heard the bang.  It was reported to be due to an electrical surge.  I can’t help but wonder whether enough resources and expenditure has gone towards train maintenance.  Or is it just passenger overload?  I seriously have lost confidence when it comes to taking the train and I hope the new year will be incident free. I just want to be able to rave about our efficiency again, like I have done in the past.
