I have come here quite a number of times as I love the buffet at the Princess Terrace at Copthorne King’s Hotel. Lunch is from 12 – 2.30 pm on weekdays and there were many people from various offices out for a lunch treat.
But since the last time the standard of the bean curd and assam laksa seems to have fallen a bit. The price has gone up from S$25 to S$38.80 for the weekday spread. I recall the bean curd being very smooth and the assam laksa to be richer somewhat. May it’s because I tried the Assam Laksa in Geylang which is not superior to me. But The other items were all very delicious indeed. Just as I remembered. The satay, the sticky yellow rice (nasi kunyit), the dry sourish mee siam, the penang char kway teow, the penang rojak and the chicken curry. These are my must have favourite items.
Please pardon the messy plate.
I liked the achar, but I didn’t prepare the rojak so well. It’s at a make it yourself station.
The assam laksa was good but I’ve had better. Perhaps I didn’t add enough of the sweet sauces on the side.
The sweet stuff.
You can make your own ice kachang.
Or chendol if you prefer that.
There’s also freshly made pancake stuffed with peanut or kaya and some other fillings I forget.
I love the Penang style of adding Gula Melaka to the bean curd.
Wow, $38.80 is very steep for a local cuisine lunch buffet.
yeah I find it very expensive too.
