Parco Millenia: Quirky Things

Came across a shop called Ameba and it was fun looking at the quirky things on display. These are probably things you don’t need but want. But even though B found the first mug cute, I am anal. It looked so much like a coffee drip stain that I had the urge to wipe it off.

This vodoo doll would definitely come in useful for those annoying brown-nosers. Every office has some.

I like this rubber covers – definitely useful. I rend to leave mugs of water out and forget about them. By the time I remember they are probably filled with dust.

Sweet pink one with the rose on top.

I thought these were files at first but they are photo albums. The old fashioned type where you can stick in your photos of whatever size.

Hehe I would want to wipe it off as well! Just looks dirty! Love those photo albums though. I’ve been thinking recently what a shame it is that all my photos only exist in electronic format – I really want to print them about again and keep a photo album. I love flicking through the old ones my parents used to keep.

Haha so I’m not the only one who finds it looks kinda dirty.

I worry about my electronic family photos too. So much better in the past when we had all these physical albums. I just never get down to printing any…seems like a whole lot now and super expensive. I am not that great with backing up too. There is the external Hard Drive but sometimes those fail. I also use Shutterfly. What do you use for back up of your family photos Claire?

      • Claire says:

I try and back it up on an external hard drive that we have. I’ve also just started using Flickr as a way to store and share. I suppose nothing is perfect and those sentimental things are always vulnerable whether in electronic or printed form.

The voodoo doll is pretty useful. Can just display there on one’s desk to give fellow colleagues a hint — a good alternative for the non-confrontational kind!

I really thought the drip on that mug was real for a moment!
