Botanic Gardens: Don’t Squish the Millipedes

Thought the blog needed a bit more green and perhaps a little break from the all food posts. This is another long overdue post – a trip with D to Botanic Gardens. We did make a food stop at the cafe, but that will be in another post.

The pretty pebbled walkways caught my eye and I recall D exclaiming to avoid squishing the millipedes which were out in full force after the rain. My kind hearted cousin noticed many squished one and felt sorry for them.

Always better when the hot concrete is rain soaked.

I am a bit afraid of millipedes but when someone steps on them accidentally, I feel sorry for them. =/

I just don’t get to the Botanic Gardens enough, love seeing your photos and I really need to make more of an effort to go more regularly.

I feel the same way. I really should make an effort to get there more and get fresh air.

My boys and I love to hang out by the Tembusu tree across the Swan lake (enter via gate across the Glenagles Hospital)… in fact we had a birthday picnic there and it was such a hit with boys- they really need the space to run and climb to hearts’ content ;))

I have seen these paths during the boys’ Learning Journeys- and its so serene. Need to visit again by myself…
