Cafe Melba

Had a lovely meal at Cafe Melba and I’ll be happy to return. It’s an Australian inspired cafe located in the East at Goodman Arts Centre and it’s a bit difficult to find so you’ll need your GPS or smartphone map.

I would recommend the pizza (thin crust, melted cheese heaven), and the carrot cake was divine. The fish and chips was pretty good too, but regarding the other items (didn’t really wow, and have had much better salad and soup elsewhere), I would try something else on the menu next time.

Perhaps it would be better to go in the evening as we found it rather hot inside even with the air-conditioning on. Lately it’s just been too hot in Singapore. I think the glasshouse concept is very pretty but perhaps it would work better on rainy days.

I do appreciate that this place doesn’t close at 2 pm like most restaurants. At least you don’t have to rush through your meal.

Pls list the prices of the dishes at all restaurants you go to. Will be useful to readers. Thanks

this was a birthday treat so I couldn’t ask the price….think it was all pretty expensive.

I used to list the prices…till I got lazy and lost my receipts.
