Regressing Back to Bad Old Habits
I decided to cut out instant noodles and biscuits from my diet. I haven’t missed the instant noodles at all, but recently I has a digestive biscuit and soon I polished off eight and felt horribly guilty after. They tasted … Continue reading

Won’t Be Having Crab Ramen Again
I like this place, Keisuke, at Parco Millenia but the crab broth was too strong (fish almost) for us. You might like it though, but it just wasn’t for us and I’ll stick to pork broth.
Singapore Art Museum: Beautiful Architecture, Disappointing Experience
Went to the Singapore Art Musuem quite some time ago but never blogged about it because I was uninspired. The old school building and chapel were beautiful, but the art work on display then didn’t quite catch my fancy. Perhaps … Continue reading

Finally Tried Macarons from Laduree Singapore
Finally tried Laduree. Just didn’t feel right though, to have it in a takeaway bag. Definitely spoils the experience. I would skip the chocolate next time and definitely go for the rose again. The orange blossom was lovely and fragrant … Continue reading

Thai Express: Convenient Place to satisfy that Tom Yam Soup Craving
The authentic Thai food at Golden Mile can’t beat this. But considering this is a chain restaurant and Thai food in a mall, Thai Express beat my expectations (this was at Tampines 1). I quite like the tom yam soup … Continue reading

JB After the Malaysian Elections: A Sea of Blue
It was interesting to be in JB the day after the Malaysian elections. It was a sea of blue. The streets were also pretty quiet and the traffic less heavy. Perhaps everyone was expecting it to be rowdy the day … Continue reading
Pasarbella
Checked out Pasarbella at Turf City (now called The Grand Stand) which is turning out to be the place for dining rather than just used cars. The only thing local about it is the name pasar (which means market in … Continue reading

Wild Honey at Scotts Square
We were craving for breakfast in the evening. Made a reservation but in the end there was no need to. There were a number of tables empty. I would order the same breakfast again – the St Michel – tomatoes … Continue reading

3 Compelling Things About Successful Blogs I Read
I’ve learnt from the blogs I read regularly (with millions of views), that the key is at least 5 witty, entertaining new posts a day. (but that’s hard to keep up). Or something that the readers find useful or soothing. … Continue reading
5 Reasons Why My Blog Traffic Plunged
1. I stopped writing regularly and as a result the blog got outdated 2. I got busy as well as less inspired (no heart in it, as my partner commented) 3. The things I want to write about I can’t … Continue reading
Panda at ION
The panda sculpture almost glittered. Just beside TWG at ION (street level). I was curious about it and found more here. The artist is Julian Marinetti. Can any French speaker tell me the gist of what he’s saying? I’ll … Continue reading
Drink & Dessert Set at Paul (& My Patient Cousin)

Haven’t Tried Laduree Yet as the Queue was Closed (& A Tea Salon Might Come After All)
We were dismayed that there was no dining in concept, just take away. That totally zaps the fun out of it. (5 May: just learnt that Laduree will open a tea room perhaps in a year or two but I … Continue reading

Back for the famous charcoal fired Geylang Hokkien Mee
Very messy but somehow the most messily plated meals are the yummiest in Singapore. Had satay too this time, but ordered way too much. And yes, it’s quite impossible to get a parking lot here at Lorong 29. But once … Continue reading
