When B first told me about how Robinsons has taken over at The Heeren and is now almost like a Harrods (taken over the whole building apart from the Costa Cafe) I thought he might have read exaggerated reports, but I was pleasantly surprised and quite like the new look of Robinsons which was bought over by a Dubai based group in 2008 (they got majority shares from old stakeholders).
I was most impressed by levels B1 and 5 even though it was just lots of things I can’t afford. I always swoon over the stuff in the kitchen section and gourmet food items. And level 5 had pieces of art that captivated my imagination. I was wowed by the pretty flooring and plush carpets. Also liked all the space and a mixture of natural light plus good lighting. I’m a sucker for pretty things.
B didn’t like the parking charges though. He thought it was exhorbitant at S$12 for 3 hours.
What I liked best were the comfy chairs everywhere at both the men’s, ladies and shoe section. It’s the best thing for someone who’s not that into shopping and would rather wait in comfort while the other person shops.
So many things I was getting weak over like this retro dishwasher in the perfect shade of baby blue.
Love Smeg fridges, really want one – saw a bright pink one but other half vetoed the idea
too many tempting things here but it was nice to have a look see.
Looks like a pretty neat place to while away a weekend afternoon
I tend to not like malls but I do like new places.
I didn’t realise this had opened! Must go!!
My partner told me about it. I had no clue either.
