Had to photograph Liang Court’s supermarket which is currently decked out in preparation for Chinese New Year.
I always get a feeling of serenity here. Also you are surrounded by some of the cutest Japanese children as they are many Japanese patrons here, a testament to the authenticity of this place. The Paris Miki (for spectacles) and the hair salon for instance have folks from Japan running them. So precious – the toddlers look like absolute dolls.
I’m trying something different. Angling my posts for visitors who have never been to Singapore and would like to see the freshest daily photos and just a taste of what regular life here is like. That way the country appears fresh to me as well.

Liang Court

My Arbitrary Mall Rating: 9/10 (don’t see myself giving any mall in Singapore a 10 unless it really wows me)
Thank you for your posts. I’m moving to Singapore in Summer and they get me really excited! Could you do a post with your recommendations for places to see and bar/restaurants, maybe something that only Singaporeans know about and that is hard to find on internet? Thank you 🙂
Thats a good idea Susy. I need to work on that 🙂
Even as a Singaporean living in Singapore, I really love your picture-decked posts because most of these places I have never been to! I am lazy to travel out of my usual go-to malls that are nearer to home and easily accessible hehe. What’s best is that your posts also showcase the nice festive decorations and in a way helps to publicise our little tiny red dot! 😀
Actually I enjoy local blogs like yours too….for the same reason. Shows me what I’ve missed out on and the different perspectives or even comforting, similar feelings we have about life.
Thank you! I guess that’s the thing about reading local blogs and being able to connect on a certain level, but of course sometimes it also shows us (through what others’ write) about how limited we are when we are looking at something. Haha, for example, complaining about Singapore. :p
