Princess Appam at Changi Airport Terminal 3

I had never heard of princess appam before. An obvious Singapore invention. My sister decided to try it – it’s actually melted cheese, butter and egg on top of the appam.

I preferred the plain one (you can request for coconut milk on the side), and most of all the puttu mayam (ediappam or string hoppers with grated coconut and orange sugar). All this can be found at the Kopi Tiam Snacks stall at Changi Airport Terminal 3.

Anything tastes better when it’s freshly made and we enjoyed our breakfast before taking off for a holiday.

But I’m still yearning to try the version by Heaven’s, which has been much talked about on food blogs.
