Siem Reap March 2023: Day 1 (Arriving at the Jaya House River Park Hotel)

We were picked up at the airport and driven in air-conditioned comfort to the hotel. In the minivan we were given cold jasmine scented towels and reusable aluminium bottles of iced water. We were already feeling pampered. The driver’s voice … Continue reading

Atas Mall with Fresh Orchid Displays

B pointed out that the orchids at the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands are real and if they are replaced regularly must be super expensive. Me and my cousin D love coming to TWG. The outlet here looks nice but … Continue reading

#6. Simple Joys: Beautiful Window Displays

Haven’t been to the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands for a while and was drawn to this window display in particular. New sights are always refreshing. And I love the bubblegum shade of pink.

Beautiful Shades

I love gazing at lovely shades. Some combinations are just more pleasing and harmonious like the pastels at the revamped MOS burger outlets. I’m partial to certain shades of pink, blue and white.

I Love the Designs at Ikea

I have a major weakness for pretty designs and colours. Ikea is so tempting with their fresh designs in punchy or soothing colours. I adore the shades they choose for their products and the clean lines. I feel like a … Continue reading

Tempted at Muji

Love the clean designs of Japanese goods, and Muji’s food products are so pretty. Even simple things like marshmellows. But prices are not low (compared to Ikea), and it’s quite a splurge if you decide to get anything here.

Singapore’s Abercrombie & Fitch Store reminds me of a Night Club

I think it’s not officially open yet (I’m living under a rock cos it opened on Dec 15th), otherwise it would have been even more packed with teenagers. This is definitely a place for the young. What I can say … Continue reading

Awesome Purple Fairy at Somerset 313

Haven’t been to Somerset 313 in a while and the additions I spotted were the purple lady and the new chair area in the lobby. More free seating is definitely a good thing and a rarity in Singapore. Also wanted … Continue reading

CNY 2012: VivoCity (& it’s Sad to See PageOne closing)

Another mall that’s buzzing with Chinese New Year festivities is VivoCity. There is an exhibition with vendors from China each year. If you need sweets for Chinese New Year, you can’t go wrong with St Michael’s (I know it’s M&S … Continue reading

Elephant Parade 2011 in Singapore

You can spot elephants all over town as part of the Elephant Parade, but I particularly liked the ones at Somerset 313. Especially this one which seems to be decorated with a single piece of string. It’s for a worthy … Continue reading

My Trip to Stockholm & Helsinki: 7 Things I Loved & Will Miss

I love experiencing new things. Took advantage of the low season and went to Scandinavia during a period no one wants to go there. Basically it’s mostly dark and grey with just 6 hours of daylight from about 9am to … Continue reading

Christmas Lights at Somerset 313

Seen some gaudy Christmas decorations, but at least these colours are quite pretty. Still, Christmas in Singapore is very, extremely commercialized.

Swedish Christmas at Ikea
