Best Spicy Handmade Noodles

Whenever we get a craving for handmade noodles, Lenu has the consistency that doesn’t disappoint. They didn’t charge for hot water which is great. I like the water almost boiling hot, cos it cools down very fast with the air … Continue reading

Dining Out In Singapore During Chemo

I would have never given this a second thought before, but it’s awful to never get a chance to dine out. During my first chemo cycle when my drastic hysterectomy (including removal of womb, Fallopian tubes, ovaries, 21 lymph nodes … Continue reading

Paradise Dynasty at Vivo City: Spicy Handmade Noodles

After their alleged not paying for gas scandal in the newspapers I was hoping this chain wouldn’t close. They do serve good food even though as many have pointed out, service is lacking. For us it was polite but they … Continue reading

New Mall: East Point Mall next to Simei MRT

There’s a new mall near the Changi General Hospital and next to Simei MRT called East Point Mall. It’s actually an old mall that has been renovated. I wasn’t that impressed by the food options but perhaps I should give … Continue reading

Dining at Star Vista: Itacho Sushi

This place gets popular after office hours. But I found it a bit too claustrophobic being shoved between to other couples. Too close quarters to chat comfortably, even with lowered voices. This is my woe about the Singapore dining scene … Continue reading

Haven’t been to Star Vista in a while. This time I took the MRT to Bouna Vista station and got a bit lost as I thought it was directly connected to the mall but it was a bit of a walk. … Continue reading

New Mall 5mins Away from Lavendar MRT: Asperia

There’s a new mall at Kallang called Asperia, but it’s not a full fledged one, but one that is part of a condo. It seems a good place to live as there is a wide variety of services like supermarkets … Continue reading

Nantsuttei has Moved to Orchard Central

Nantsuttei has moved to Orchard Central after closing it’s branch at Millennia Walk (the whole place is being revamped). There are other interesting dining options at the higher levels of the OC that I have yet to check out.

ONE KM: Paradise Dynasty

I am getting hooked on the handmade noodles at Paradise Dynasty and I do love the dessert of divine soufflé balls (made with egg white, filled with red bean paste, banana and with icing sugar sprinkled on top).

New: The Seletar Mall

Another new mall we checked out last month, but I was tardy in writing about is Seletar Mall.  The layout is all right.  Rather spacious with a high ceiling and open middle area.  Food choices are similar to what you can … Continue reading

I do like this new mall which is near the Hillview estate in Upper Bukit Timah, as it’s spacious, isolated (not near an MRT which means less chance of crowds) and more a food place than a shopping place which … Continue reading

Spicy Peanut Noodle Soup

Been craving for handmade noodles, so had some Dan Dan Mian at Paradise Dynasty at Westgate Mall. This is not as spicy as it looks due to the peanut base. I originally thought that this was a chain from China … Continue reading

Dessert & Dumplings at Paradise Dynasty

Yummy dumplings and the lovely banana souffle dessert are what I must have at Paradise Dynasty. Service could be vastly improved at the Westgate Branch (level 2) which we went to recently but I won’t fault the food quality.
