Blueberry White Tea
A new blueberry white tea drink ($3.70 – 140 calories) at Cedele (City Square Mall) that’s not too sweet and just a hint of blueberry flavour, but I prefer to go with Perrier ($3 – zero calories) and completely cut … Continue reading

Best Teh Tarik in Singapore (Nameless Stall at Kampong Glam)
The elderly white bearded uncle at the little nameless tea shop, just opposite Kampong Glam cafe makes the best tea in Singapore hands down. It’s called a Sarabat stall (selling mainly drinks and run by mainly Indian Muslim owners) and … Continue reading

112 Katong: J-Mart, Food Republic, Gloria Jean’s and Gund Toys
I really like the new 112 Katong mall. It’s cosy and the theatre beckons. I also love J-Mart, the Japanese grocery store. The packaging is just lovely and I feel spoiled for choice. We got a yogurt drink and don’t … Continue reading

Lemon Tart & Matcha Latte at Tea Dot (Nex)
Not the best lemon tart I guess, but I think it’s pretty good. Anyone know where I can get the best lemon tarts? I prefer these to chocolate sometimes. I like my desserts sour sweet.

Tea at Kampong Glam
Teh Tarik at the little shop opposite Kampong Glam cafe is so good. This little stall is at 21 Bussorah Street. The tea is prepared by an elderly Indian Muslim gentleman using both condensed and evaporated milk. I wonder if … Continue reading

Java Detour (The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands)
This is our second visit to Java Detour, because once again the Coffee Bean Bistro by the fountain was super crowded. And this is a nice place to chat, away from the maddening crowd that just lingers mostly around that … Continue reading

Milky Ginger Tea at Kampong Glam
We walked a little way down past Kandahar street to a tiny coffee shop. Here hot tea is traditionally tossed high into the air by a sweet, elderly Indian Muslim man. The resulting teh tarik was perfection. I even felt … Continue reading

Matcha Latte (Tully’s at Orchard Central)
The latest drink I see on the menu these days is Matcha Latte. I must be high in antioxidants as it’s concentrated green tea powder. B loves it and I think it looks pretty although I tend to go for … Continue reading

Plaza Singapura: The Society Cafe
Didn’t want to stop here as it looked completely empty and I wondered if the coffee was any good. In the end I am glad I stopped to try it. The coffee was so much better than Starbucks and was … Continue reading
