Tony Romas (Orchard Central)

Good meal starting off with really fresh chewy bread and an aromatic garlic butter. The ribs here are always good and the root beet float was fantastic (after not having one for ages).  I was not really feeling the spinach … Continue reading

Nantsuttei has Moved to Orchard Central

Nantsuttei has moved to Orchard Central after closing it’s branch at Millennia Walk (the whole place is being revamped). There are other interesting dining options at the higher levels of the OC that I have yet to check out.

A Very Pink Christmas at Orchard Central

I do like pink so I didn’t mind all that sparkly pink. There was quite an authentic looking Christmas Market set-up here too.

A Seat at Dean & Deluca

It was pretty good, but I still have to say I preferred the cupcake I had at Jones the Grocer recently. Well, at least this time I could get a seat easily at Dean & Deluca. The euphoria has died … Continue reading

Beautiful Tempting Produce at Expanded Dean & Deluca

I was so tempted by the fresh produce, food and drinks but not so much for the price tags. Also don’t like buying things are lugging them around when I’m far from home. But yes, the fresh produce looks almost … Continue reading

A Bit of a Tight Squeeze at Dean & Deluca Cafe

The good news is that the cafe at recently opened Dean & Deluca offers free ice water. It’s self service. Just look out for the pitchers at the counter. I only realized this later and if I had known I … Continue reading

Vintage Cars at Orchard Central

B is a car person, me not so much. Sometimes he talks to me about cars and I drift away. I don’t even like driving so I’m glad he likes it. He does complain about the COE though and commented … Continue reading

Orchard Central reminds us Valentine’s Day is coming

It’s extremely commercialized in Singapore but I do love any decor that features pink and roses.

Terrible Crossaint (what was worse – rude customers)

Had the worse crossaint ever at Tully’s at Orchard Central. It looked good, but turned out to be very dry, hard and stale. The only redeeming factor was the chocolate coating. I’ve had better ones here before and I do … Continue reading

Pink Christmas at Orchard Central

From this angle you can see how steep and high the Orchard Central escalator is. Goes up 3 levels. Seems like they are trying to call the place OC.  But OC makes me think of that show about teenagers in … Continue reading

Vertigo Caused by Tallest ‘Shopping Lady’ at Orchard Central

Trying to take a picture of this tall statue is definitely not for those with vertigo.  It goes up about 6 stories.  As you can see her red boots alone can dwarf you. Another unique feature at this mall, was … Continue reading
