Dan Dan Mien in Beijing

I got to taste the authentic stuff at a little cafe near the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. So yummy and really spicy. Great to tuck into during the cool spring.

Thoughts of 2011 Me: This was 5 years ago, but I still have this lingering memory of how good the handmade noodles tasted. The texture of the noodles – out of this world. Hands down the best meal I had in Beijing and so cheap too. The ambience was lovely as well. Simple and rustic at this sweetest little cafe. The weather was cool, so that added to the pleasure. April was a good time to visit northern China although I would have loved to experience Winter snow.
