As we drove by Serangoon Road (Little India), I took photos of a Mosque, Hindu Temples and a Sikh Temple which was undergoing renovation. There was a church as well, but I couldn’t snap the photos in time. You can find Singaporeans who are Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Catholic, Sikh, Hindu and some are Agnostic or Free Thinkers. There is harmony among the religious groups in Singapore and it stems from a society that respects the beliefs of others. You can’t help but feel spiritual as you come close to these buildings.
For the Ornate Hindu temples, artisans from India are commissioned to create the sculptures.
Cows and Elephants feature prominently in Hindu Temple Architecture, as they are considered scared animals. The Lord Ganesha is is portrayed with the head of an elephant. The Cow always accompanies the blue Lord Krishna. It’s the reason why we don’t eat beef.
these shots are great! Beautiful detail.

Wow! Truly amazing! I could spend an entire day just looking at the details!
