Wendy’s Satisfied My Burger and Fries Craving

When I’m back from a trip I usually crave for Wan Tan Mee (Dry Noodles with BBQed pork and dumplings) but this time all I wanted was a burger and preferably from Wendy’s. I was so glad to find that Wendy’s at Orchard Road was opened and looking bright and sleek after surviving the Orchard Road Flood. The burger and fries were so good I almost forgot to take photos in my greed to devour them. The chilli sauce is like the best I have ever had – not too sweet and actually spicy. The vanilla shake which was part of the set which cost me a well spent S$6.40, was so yummy. It tasted like high quality ice cream made with real vanilla beans. There was even a sweetened cherry added to the mix and I love cherries. (Some people like my partner, don’t like the medicinal taste but I love it)

Sometimes all you need are salty fries and a spicy chicken burger to hit the spot. I felt like Harold and Kumar finally reaching Whitecastle. In Kerala there was no chilli sauce or burgers. The french fries were overfried and a bit too hard, and they give you only tomato sauce or mint chutney if you ask for chilli sauce. Just a bit of a background story so that you understand my intense cravings.

My only issue was that the air-conditioning was so cold my sister would turn into an icicle. This is coming from someone who literally would melt if she did not live in air-conditioning set to at least 25 degrees celcious. I think the temperature was set to like 19 degrees and somehow air-conditioned air feels colder and chillier than naturally cold air.
