As I was waiting to board the houseboat, I spotted a gaggle of geese at the Taj Kumarukom and headed towards them. Somehow when I see geese I immediately think Mother Goose. That’s my association with geese during childhood. Anyway six geese and a lone duck (i think it was a duck) came waddling ferociously towards me and for a while there I was afraid I would get massively pecked. They came that close and they were huge. Maybe they thought I had food to offer. They looked absolutely gorgeous and well fed with the most downey white feathers. Being a city girl from Singapore it’s always a delight to come this close to nature, especially animals I would hardly encounter in such proximity back home.

So cute!!!!! They don’t have teeth so it’s okay!
I am not so comfortable with animals as I never had any pets growing up, but I was just drawn to these geese.
I never had any pets growing up except for a turtle which is pretty much nothing. I yearn for a kitty cat but my mother is against it. I have no choice but to show my affection to animals I see at the parks etc.
oh yes…I did have fish but I was terrified each time they jumped out of the tank and lay flopping on the floor. It was quite traumatic.
