This shop has been here since I was in school. There have been stories in the Newspaper that the owner is so rich that he’d rather continue with his shop than sell or rent it out, even though he’s been offered a few million. I think today the shop must be worth even more. I think the rental in this area is easily above S$30,000 a month? Just guessing, but the way prices have gone up, it’s really scary.
The owner is keeping up with the trend and selling some cool looking halloween decorations and costumes, besides old fashioned toys like kites and marbles. I also spotted very local looking brooms and dustpans.
