#66. Loads of the Sunshine Vitamin and No Winter Blues

15 minutes of sun exposure can be a good thing and that’s what we get in a tropical climate where the sun shines most of the time. The sunshine vitamin is Vitamin D. It will help reduce your risk of osteoporosis, and breast, prostate and colorectal cancer.

We can also be thankful that we don’t suffer from SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder. If you live in a tropical climate, you may have never heard of it. It’s when low light levels due to shorter days and lack of sunshine can cause depression, or what they call the winter blues. Another reason to be happy in Singapore and this time it’s biological.
