Jalan Kledek

Jalan Kledek is the little street off North Bridge road. Inside the beautiful blue building there are two famous restaurants – Sabar Menanti II for Nasi Padang and the Islamic Restaurant for traditional briyani. It’s nice that the street is named after food – sweet potato. You can often get fried kledek at the stall where you can get your goreng pisang or fried bananas from.

The Islamic Restaurant which has been located at the blue building since 1921. Read a review from one of my favourite food bloggers – The Travelling Hungry Boy.

You can park along this narrow lane and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a spot. The nearest MRT to the area is Bugis.
