Rainy Day at HarbourFront & My Thoughts About Cruises
Personally I am not into cruises although I don’t mind short ferry rides or going fast on a jet boat. I would like to spend more time at the destination in a more comfortable hotel than on a tiny room … Continue reading
New Mall: Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC) & My Pick of the Directory
5 Reasons Why I Would Return to ARC: 1. Relatively Empty (don’t have to squeeze with other folks when you dine) 2. Free Parking on weekends and on Weekdays if you spend $30 (no need to rush off and with … Continue reading

Singapore Daily Photos: Hot Dog Stand at Great World City
I didn’t try the hot dogs as I was full already, but I wonder if they can match what I’ve had at The Brat (Plaza Singapura).

Singapore Daily Photos: Toys at Giant (Supermarket)
The bear is almost a metre high. I wonder if it’s too big for little kids. Might scare them or thrill them to bits. Eager for when my nieces are old enough for dolls. And I’ve aways found it so … Continue reading

Everyone Needs Peace of Mind
Reading the tweets of people I follow on twitter and my heart goes out to them. Often they are expressing exactly what I’m feeling. Everyone wants peace of mind and everyone wants to stop the train of worries. Wish there … Continue reading

High Ceilings and the cool tall ‘shopping girl’.
Juice & Coffee at Canele
Beside a good latte, they have really interesting juice concoctions at Canele. It wasn’t served chilled though, which was a pity. And yay for free iced water.

Satisfying Nonya Dumpling at Tiong Bahru Market
Have been craving for this (savoury sweetness in sticky glutinous rice) for a while and this is the time to eat dumplings as the festival is around the corner.

Smoothie King – A Great Place to Have Wraps
I find smoothies in general a bit too sweet and I was shocked by the calorie counts. I was quite impressed by the spicy grilled chicken wrap I had (cost S$5.90) and I will be returning for the wraps. The … Continue reading
A Seat at Dean & Deluca
It was pretty good, but I still have to say I preferred the cupcake I had at Jones the Grocer recently. Well, at least this time I could get a seat easily at Dean & Deluca. The euphoria has died … Continue reading

Singapore Daily Photos: Counting Sheep
This display at the Sleep Academy at Centrepoint (mall) seems to attract the kids. Parents as well, as I saw them coax their kids to pose with the soft toys for photos. Pretty creative for a new mattress section.

Returned for Great Vietnamese Food at Joo Chiat
I was disappointed that the pho and spring rolls I had in Hanoi did not beat fresh spring rolls and pho at Long Phung (blogged about this place many times), but what I had in Ho Chi Minh City sure … Continue reading

Penny University
Tried out Penny University at East Coast Road (very near the famous hokkien mee and prawn mee soup) and I am eager to return for the coffee. The booth seats are pretty comfy and surprisingly not squeezy (they were generous … Continue reading

City Square for Kiddie Stuff
These days I’m interested in shopping – if it’s for baby or kiddie stuff. Recently I found that City Square is one such place.
At NTUC: Tartare Sauce
I do love its creamy tangy taste, even more than just plain mayo. It always makes any fish dish taste so much better. So what’s your favourite brand. I’ve never tasted the Heinz version before, but I do like their … Continue reading
Another Mall in Singapore that’s Stroller Friendly
Changi City Point is not my favourite place because it’s just full of branded outlet stores which I find boring (a reason why it is a top search hit on my blog), but I do like the wide aisles. I … Continue reading
