TWG at Marina Bay Sands

Service still kinda sucks, but I can’t resist the pretty crockery and fragrant teas. The scones are some of the best I’ve had especially with the clotted cream and refreshing tea jam. The sandwiches are forgettable and pathetic for the … Continue reading

SkyPark: To the Top of Marina Bay Sands Again

At first it was drizzling so we hesitated about whether to get tickets to the Skypark. In the end I’m glad we did as the cloudy made the glare of the sun more bearable and I didn’t end up sweating … Continue reading

Newly Renovated Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre

The black carrot cake here is pretty good. Had teh alia from a nearby stall. I like the huge ceiling fans installed in the hawker centre (similar to what you can find at the overground non-air conditioned part of Paya … Continue reading

Moomin at ION

It used to be pretty difficult to find Moomin toys. But last week I spotted this at a store on the 4th level of ION selling cards and gifts. I find these characters created in Finland in the 1945 so … Continue reading

Hawker Food: Char Kway Teow & Muffins

Not feeling too well lately, and I wonder if too much oily food as contributed to it. Afraid to take another bite. At the time it felt pretty worth it though. You know how social eating comes with the holidays … Continue reading

Christmas Decorations at Paragon

Merry Christmas. It’s past midnight and Christmas already. Just wanted to share photos I took at Paragon. Haven’t been there in a while and thought of checking it out. Not much of a change.

Disney Christmas at Changi Airport

I think the airport is going to be extra crowded with kids just going there to play. There’s a humongous bouncy castle plus disney characters like Mickey and Minnie. Saw this at Terminal 2.

Marina Bay Sands: Skating Rink Decorated for Christmas

The best view of the skating rink would be from the top. The artificial ice has been covered so you can walk on the skating rink and many people were taking photos. There was live music too.

Magical Christmas Characters at Marina Bay Sands

I used to think Christmas was done well at ION, but I think Marina Bay Sands has topped my expectations with their adorable walking Christmas trees and Candy Canes and reindeer on stilts, plus other Christmassy characters. I was very impressed … Continue reading

Prata Craving Satisfied at Thohirah

Decided to go the unhealthy route and have some prata. I would have preferred the curry to be thicker and spicier though. We were at Jalan Kayu so this was the nearest place for prata and service was prompt. I … Continue reading

Wheelock Place Christmas Decorations

Wheelock Place is always stunning with it’s permanent conical shaped Dome that automatically looks like a Christmas Tree when decorated. You feel like you’re inside a glass tree.

The food court at Terminal 3 at Changi Airport has been revamped since my last visit several months ago. They have freshly made appam at the local snacks stall. It’s not the best I’ve had (like the middle to be … Continue reading

Christmas at Bedok Mall

I found the huge art installation out front eye catching but very weird looking. Just like at Changi Airport, the mall has a bouncy castle for Christmas.
