Buta God Ramen did not taste as good as when I first had at at Illuma in Bugis. Was keen to try out the Changi Airport Terminal 3 branch but was disappointed. I must add that the chef owner was there (by chance) when I was at Illuma so that must have made the whole difference. It’s disappointing when there is no consistency in quality. Even if it is a slight difference in method of preparation it can make a huge difference in taste.
Also I wondered if I was imagining things but the portion size seemed smaller. I wonder if this is because airport staff get a discount and this is how they compensate for that?
But having said all this, I might just choose to have the same thing again if I was at the airport and craving for spicy pork ramen.
