Giant Grapes at Chinatown (Mid Autumn Festival 2012)

We were both thrilled to spot the huge grapes at Chinatown and as we drove through, rows and rows of pastel paper lanterns. I refer to this festive period as the lantern or mooncake festival but it’s officially known as the Mid-Autumn festival.

I can’t wait to dig into some mooncakes. I only like the traditional lotus paste ones with egg yolk and don’t care for the new fangled ones that include flavours like durian etc.
